In order to strengthen meteorological services for agriculture,improve scientific planting level,and enhance the ability of meteorological disaster prevention and reduction,the distribution of staple crops in Linhai and the meteorological service during the main growth period of crops are analyzed through visiting Agricultural Science and Technology Department and viewing the yearbooks of Linhai from 2008 to 2012. It shows that strengthening the meteorological services of three staple crops including single cropping of rice,citrus and red bayberry and their main producing areas are the focuses of the agricultural meteorology work of Linhai. And timely meteorological services of the three staple crops during growth period have very important significance to improve the yield,quality and value of staple crops.
